My Sims 3 High-end loft stuff is acting up?

My Sims 3 High end loft stuff is being weird. I cant change who I play as. Like, Its stuck on the baby, meaning if i want o use testingcheatsenabled tru, it only affects the baby even if i clicked on the mom or someone else. IDk how to fix this so i need your help. 10 poits for the first answer that fixes my problem! :::)))))
