Can guys and girls be friends?

From a guy's perspective I say that they don't want to embarr themselves in the hallways. It's like alter egos...I mean I'm a guy and i know when girls just want to say hi or smile like you said. However I tend to hide my face because I fumble with words even if it's one word. so they might just be fumbling with words. Another conclusion to that is that they might have a crush on you and tend to try not to make eye contact. Same goes for me I have girls that I like but I tend to find a way just to socialize. So my advice during one of your games just run up to one of them and say "Can you meet me in the hallway?" or something.
