I just bought a ACER ASPIRE ONE MINI NOTEBOOK 8.9...it has 160gb oh hard drive and 1gb of memory RAM..?

you need to buy an external DVD drive so you can install vista. You also need 2gb of RAM. There is also a small chance vista will not run well on this machine. Your processor isn't the best out there. Your hard drive is fine.
