Have you ever been wrongly accused of benefit fraud?

It is unusual for you to get a phonecall out of the blue. The DWP will suspend any benefit together with a letter from 'the counter-fraud investigation unit'. If a malicious allegation has been made or a genuine mistake, then any benefit will be restored once an investigator has been out to see you. Obviously the public purse has to be protected.
