What are your thoughts on this?

Remember something else that your Buddhism Teacher forgot to mention. We all walk a separate path to reach enlightenment, you cannot walk within someone else's footprints to find your own. Take what you cherish from Hinduism and start to follow that pull that your gut is telling you to follow. There is no reason why you can't hold on and cherish something just because you throw the package away. ;)
