A nice man, and I want to do something horrible...?

Wow, maybe you could take some time and sit down with this nice guy, (who I'm sure wants to please) and "Motivate" him into being more efficient. Maybe he doesn't take what he's been told seriously before. I think requesting his removal is a bit extreme, but I don't know either of you. Good luck, I hope you're able to resolve this dilemma!
